You are an important part of the concert, too, really!
Audience members are such a valuable part of a concert experience because you allow the musicians to perform for you. You are sharing a live musical experience with your classmates as well as the musicians on stage. It is important to make respectful choices so everyone can have an enjoyable experience at the concert.
At an orchestra concert, being a respectful audience member looks like:
Entering the concert hall quickly and quietly
Making sure your cell phone and any other electronic devices are turned off
Keeping your attention on the performers on stage
Quietly listening and watching the performance
Clapping at the end of each piece during the concert
Following directions given by your teachers and chaperones during the entirety of your field trip to McIntyre Hall
We are so glad you are able to join us for our concert this year and appreciate your respectful listening. Skagit Symphony can’t wait to see you again next year!
